Review articles are generally solicited by the journals and done by experts in the field. However, journals may accept unsolicited, well done review articles.
Review articles may: - Summarize a hot topic with many recent advances such as having many clinical trials, new and important discoveries, etc. - Clarify and simplify complex topics by explaining and organizing the topic in an accessible way.- Summarize a research study for a group of readers that may not be specialized in the field, such as non-specialists or primary care doctors.
